VIT University is a renowned and progressive engineering institution that was founded in the year 1984 by Dr. G. Viswanathan. Every year, the college conducts its entrance exam VITEEE, based on which candidates are admitted to the first year of under graduate degree in engineering i.e. Bachelor of Engineering and Bachelor of Technology. Application form will be available from first week of December. The last date of submitting the application form will be February, 2016. VIT University will conduct VIT Engineering Entrance Exam (VITEEE) 2016 for granting admissions to various undergraduate engineering programmes. Admissions to its two campuses, Chennai and Vellore, will be purely on the basis of the marks secured in the VITEEE 2016. There are nearly 5,000 B.Tech seats for which around two lakh candidates register and appear every year. According to candidates, who appeared for VITEEE held in 2015, shared that questions were of moderate difficulty level with Physics section being the toughest. Qualification:
Candidates appearing for the VITEEE-2016 should have either completed or shall be appearing in 2016, in any one of the following qualifying exams:
The final examination of the 10+2 system of Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State Board; Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi) The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination-ISCE, New Delhi.
Intermediate or Two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.
High School Certificate Exam of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.
General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Srilanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
Candidates who have studied in Regular, Full Time and Formal Education are alone eligible to apply.

Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 01st July 1994 are eligible to apply for VITEEE-2016; the date of birth as recorded in the High School/SSC/X Certificate will be considered authentic.
